As Time Contracts, Space Dilates ::: 8 x 49 x 6" each ::: faces hover eerily behind a distorted plane of visual liquid. Three people had daily photos taken at various angles and lightings for two weeks. These photos were sliced and all parts assembled to form one elongated face. When inspecting the pieces, portions of the face combined from different points in time create a perspective of details which are focused on rather than the whole of the face. On angle, the face can come together as a recognizable persona. Like the distortions described as one approaches lightspeed, these images were existing in more than one time, but now all in one space.
